I am a 53 year old engineer with my own small business in NW North Carolina, with a wife of 27 years and three kids in college.  I also have a small farm that I enjoy spending some time on, although it is not as fun without my kids there to help. With some past employers, I was always “that guy” who hunted way too much - one glorious year, I took a total of TEN weeks of paid and unpaid vacation (right before I got a bad performance review and then fired, for some reason - an obvious case of age discrimination I think).  I had hoped that starting my own business would allow me to spend more time on bowhunting trips all over the country, but just the opposite happened, sadly. I had to waste a handful of premium tags over the past several years, including two AK bull moose tags! I am sure that I will have some ‘splaining to do about that sin, among others, on Judgement Day. Many people use sports or TV or the Interweb to escape their boring everyday lives - me, I think about bowhunting every day, all day, either reliving past bowhunts or planning my next bowhunting adventure.  Although I have helped the PBS in several minor roles in the past, I am pleased and humbled to be able to now serve the PBS as a councilman. I promise to do my best to serve the PBS and welcome any and all input from you, the PBS members. Let’s work together to grow and improve the PBS, which I consider to be the greatest of bowhunting organizations!
