Region Rep Sean Bleakley

   I’ve lived the Outdoor Lifestyle my entire life, 40 years of it as a bowhunter.  Growing up in the Hudson Valley region of NY State has afforded me everything that the North East has to offer to hunt. From squirrels and grouse to bears and whitetails, it’s a lifestyle I’m not willing to give up anytime soon.
       Being a member of the PBS has introduced me to some of the greatest people that I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting, and many of them I consider great friends. It has offered me opportunities to hunt some of the most beautiful places in the US.   When I attend a PBS event, I am surrounded by some of best bow hunter in the world.   “Best”, not in terms of what or numbers of animals taken, but in the manner of the way they hunt, self-imposed limitations, and replacing modern technology for sound ethical woodsmanship.   “Knowledge Through Experience” is more than just a catch phrase, it is truly what the PBS has to offer. 
       I grew up and lived my entire 52 years in New York State.  I’m the fifth out of six kids, and have been fortunate that my father has always had time to take me hunting and fishing.  He was the man who introduced me to the outdoors, giving me the opportunity to pass my knowledge and passion on to my two sons, and soon, my grandchildren.  I’m also fortunate to have been with my beautiful wife for nine years, who is extremely understanding and supportive of my outdoor pursuits.
