Midwest Odd year gathering
It's official! KEVIN WINKLER will be hosting THE 2025 PBS Odd Year Gathering at HIS place in conjunction with the South Central WI Archers Traditional shoot. August 16 & 17, 2025
This year is my four year hosting this traditional shoot and through encouragement of other PBS friends I have decided to also host the Odd Year Gathering.
The location is Southern WI. Monroe, WI 53566 just minutes from the Illinois border. I have a 170 acre right on the edge of the Driftless region. I have some pretty rugged terrain.
Come check out this years 3-D shoot on Aug. 17 & 18
Plenty of camping and neighbors that have offer use of an additional wooded area across the road for camping. Motels in town and air B&Bs in the area.
We have a winery just a few miles down the road, and Cadiz State Park.
Monroe has a local brewery and distillery that has tours. Monroe is known as the Cheese capital of the US and have world award winning cheese makers and cheese, with factory tours available. Plus Historic downtown Monroe with shops, pubs and restaurants. A short drive down the road is New Glarus brewery which is famous for Spotted cow beer!
I will be updating on the gathering as plans progress. I have a few PBS members that have offered to help, but I have never organized one of these, so I will be needing lots of help.
Please contact me of you are in my area or can help so we can get things organized and getting the wheels turning

Bighorn Mountains odd year gathering
Dates: July 9-13 2025 (come early and stay late)
Please disregard information printed in the Summer 2024 issue of the Magazine, unfortunately everything but the dates were outdated information.
I was recently able to scout two spectacular new sites for our 2025 event and have asked two member-attendees to visit each site for a second and third opinion. Each of the two new sites will be superior to our 2023 site and will allow for event growth unlike the previous site.
We will make a final site decision later this summer and have information available in the Fall edition of the Magazine. The new sites are 8-10 miles east of the 2023 site so very close by.
RSVP to Steve Hohensee if you plan on attending!
