2nd Annual Virtual Bowfishing Weekend
May 18-19, 2024
NOW EXTENDED THROUGH JUNE 2
Go solo or organize a local group of other members to bowfish together.
A drawing for door prizes will be held in late May using one entry for each of the four virtual events you participated. Send a message /photos to Steve Hohensee at 307-299-7040, [email protected], or on Messenger by May 19 to be entered into the drawing.
Must be a member prior to the event to qualify for door prizes.
Additional details and event reminder will be released by e-mail blast so make sure and have a current e-mail address on file with the Home Office.
Door Prizes so far:
1). Dozen cedar, spine matched, fletched arrows. Cut to length and field points installed on request. Winner chooses fletching color. Donated by Caleb Dietz (MT)
2). Half dozen Ace 175 bheads and a half dozen bunny busters. Donated by Bruce Vanpelt (AK)
3). Tomahawk, handmade by Jake Hawkins (IN)
4). Kuiu Taku 9000 dry bag (orange)
5). Hideaway quarter bags (4, heavy duty)
6). Great Northern Quiver, donated by Eric McKee (OH)
7). Camp Chef wireless thermometer
8). Marksman Quiver, limb bolt mount (green leather hood)
9). Cold weather insulated booties (over the boot) in Predator snow camp

BOWFISHING TOURNAMENT RESULTS
Results are in for the 1st Annual PBS Virtual Bowfishing event! We had about 35 members participate from 12 states including Texas, Maryland, Indiana, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Florida, Missouri, Wyoming, and North Carolina and representing two countries, the USA and Italy!
We had quite an array of species bagged during the event including common carp, mirror carp, grass carp, longnose gar, shortnose gar, bowfin, big mouth Buffalo, paddlefish, goldfish, flathead catfish, channel catfish, Southern stingray, common snapping turtle, and a stripped bass from Italy!
We had five door prizes for this event and tickets were drawn at random for each member that participated.
Prizes:
1). Great Northern Quiver donated by Eric McGee: Winner-Brad Jones, WY
2). $50 VISA card donated by Mark Viehweg: Winner-Colby Henry, PA
3). Zwickey Broadheads donated by Jesse Johnson: Winner-Jeff Holchin, NC
4). Turquoise embedded “carp tamer”, donated by Joe Lasch: Winner-Brandon Rupnow, MI
5). Custom shooting tab donated by Rob Durant: Winner-Andy Houck, PA
