vice president
ETHAN RODRIGUE
I was fortunate to have been born into a hunting family. My father has been a bowhunter all of his life and made sure growing up, I always had a bow. After my military service I moved to Tennessee with my wife where we raised our two daughters. I have bowhunted all of my life and have been a dedicated traditional bowhunter since the late 90’s. I’ve been blessed to have had opportunities to have hunted all across the United States and in Canada. The Professional Bowhunters Society has been the direct cause of each of those opportunities.
When I think about the PBS and the many great things it represents, the one aspect that stands out most is the comradery and the lifelong friendships I’ve made along the way. I like to say PBS is made up of some of the most dedicated and experienced bowhunters in the world, that most hunters will have never heard of. That’s because high ethical standards, the passion for hunting with the bow and arrow, and conducting one’s self in a professional manner when in the field is of the utmost importance within this organization. You won’t find ego’s and self-promotion within our ranks, only hardcore bowhunters with the love of bowhunting adventure, and the desire to share that love with other bowhunters.
I feel there is far greater satisfaction in utilizing “Knowledge Through Experience” to conduct a successful hunt than from relying on technology and short cuts. Those convictions align directly with the PBS code of conduct. Fair chase, high ethical standards, and conducting one’s self in a professional manner when in the field is at the core of what this organization is all about.
I have been honored to have been given the opportunity to have served this organization, and do so to the best of my ability. I would encourage any dedicated bowhunter to become a member of the PBS family and take advantage of this unique community through not only what it has to offer you, but in what you have to offer it as well. My name is Ethan Rodrigue, and I Am the PBS.
